chemistry 152: general chemistry II
Professor: munira khalil

This class crammed a lot of material into 10 weeks. A lot of the concepts we were required to learn were very new. Thermodynamics was the main focus of the majority of the quarter, and the concept of entropy was introduced. I learned about what makes a reaction spontaneous (occur without added energy, not the synonym for "instant"). This information was very life-changing! I have been much more motivated to keep things organized and structured rather than messy and chaotic.

Notes on the professor and overall experience: This course is definitely challenging. Khalil is a notoriously tough grader and her exams are entirely multiple choice. Her tests are also calculation-heavy, so be able to apply the information/numbers of all the equations. Definitely be comfortable with PV DIAGRAMS! Be able to calculate work and interpret changes to the system! This question appeared on both exams because so many people had trouble with it.
